Working on an Archer build and wanting to know if the sustained damaged increase from Colossus Slayer (additional 1d8 per turn) outweighs the additional free attack and features from Gloomstalker (Dread Ambusher, Superior Darkvision, Umbral Shroud, Disguise Self) TLDR: Burst Damage vs Sustained Damage. fourth character is really whatever you want. gloom stalker ranger has a really strong early game and fits bg3 fight strategy. barbarian is pretty shit in DND but in bg3 they get a lot hand tailored magic items which seems pretty fun. fighter is just simple and good class, a bit boring for me since you just move attack end turn. bard is a fun ... I’m building Astarion roughly this way, but only Rogue 1/Gloomstalker Ranger 3 so far. I’m trying a warlock / ass / gloom. Tricky part is knowing when to pull warlock: I’m after devil sight, mortal reminder, the warlock saves, and either EB with repel or one with shadows. All good compliments to Ass / Gloom..
